Sorry, I updated a few times in my main blog but forgot to put it in this blog as well.  So here ya go.  Enjoy.

It's All Understood on a Thursday Afternoon

So this is a long time coming, but finally some questions for those who have requested them. Post the answers in your own blog and remember the rules of this game is that you also open it up to your readers and allow them request a five question interview as well and then request that they do the same. This can be a lot of fun.

Nick:
1. DHL and MLB.com are teaming up to present the Hometown Heroes team, where each baseball team nominates their top five players of all time and then the fans vote on who is the player that is the best of their team of all time. If this was done in music, what bands would be nominated in each genre? Picks five bands in each major genre and which of each five you would vote for.

2. What is the number one most pressing issue in our nation today? Convince me to the point that I want to go petition our government immediately.

3. If you could write one song and only one song to sum up your entire life, something to be remembered for, something made immortal, what would it be? Give me a title, what it is about, and any other key characteristics.

4. Why do kids like Apple Jacks, if they don't taste like apples?

5. You have contemplated transferring out of Rose several times in the past. What is it about Rose that keeps you here?

Crystal:
1. What will life be like in ten years? Job? Kids? House? Describe it all.

2. These days will be considered the good ole days. What was the greatest moment of your life so far? Take some time and really think about this one.

3. Why does Purdue suck?

4. George Bush likes to make up his own words. If you were president, what word would you like to make up? What would it mean? How could the English language benefit from this new word?

5. If you were a gangster and had a nickname in quotes, what would it be? Would it be scary, intimidating, cute or embarassing?

Adam:
1. What is the most amazing thing ever invented by man? In the last fifty years? Twenty? Ten? This year? WHy were these inventions so amazing?

2. A movie is made about the past year at TSAV. What is it called? Is it from a certain character's perspective or from the outside? How might the title change with diferent perspectives?

3. List the top five beards of all time.

4. There has been much talk about the battle in the Middle East with Israel and Hezbollah possibly becoming World War III and parallels drawn between the start of World War I and what is happening now. What are your thoughts on the issue? What is the likeliness this will break out into a World War? How will this end? How will it end for the US? Will we get involved?

5. What is the ideal job you could be offered, ignoring pay and location?

These are the ones geared toward each person, but feel free to answer other people's questions too if you want to offer your opinion as well. Other readers can feel free to answer any of them too in the form of a comment. But I have a question for every to answer in the form of a question:

I have heard a lot of criticism about how Bush is not the ideal president. Well what exactly is the ideal president? How important are these characteristics? Rate each one from one (who cares if any one ever posesses it) to ten (a must have for any president).

Now this question was not meant to be Bush bashing, so if you seem to be simply Bush bashing and talking about the ideal president, I will delete your comment. Stay on topic here. Also, I may play some devil's advocate. I am not picking you apart, but simply making you strengthen your argument.

I will leave you with some Jack Johnson to think about and rock out to.

Everyone laughed at her joke
As if they'd never even heard it before
And maybe they were truly amused
But every word that she spoke was a bore
And maybe it's because they had seen
The previews on the TV screen
Well this part is good and that's well understood
So you should laugh if you know what I mean

But it's all relative
Even if you don't understand
Well it's all understood
Especially when you don't understand
Then it's all just because
Even if we don't understand
Then lets all just believe

Everyone knows what went down
Because the news was spread all over town
And fact is only what you believe
And fact and fiction work as a team
It's almost always fiction in the end
That content begins to bend
When context is never the same

I was reading a book
Or maybe it was a magazine
Suggestions on where to place faith
Suggestions on what to believe
But I read somewhere
That you've got to beware
You can't believe anything you read
But the good Book is good
And that's well understood
So don't even question
If you know what I mean

But it's all relative
Even if you don't understand
Well it's all understood
Especially when you don't understand
And it's all just because
Even if we don't understand
Then lets all just believe

But there you go once again
You missed the point and then you point
Your fingers at me
And say that I said not to believe
I believe
I guess it's all relative

This Is Your Time on a Friday Aftrenoon

Whoa, two days in a row...

Nick and Crystal, your questions are coming, I'm putting plenty of thought into it.

You know what grinds my gears? Trust. Apparently it doesn't mean jack to some people any more. I have always been quick to trust people, but when you lose my trust, it is hard to get back. So maybe this is just all my fault, I am too quick to hand out trust, but trust me, once it's gone, good luck getting it back.

What does a man's word mean these days? To me, if I give you my word about something, consider it fact. If you can't trust the things I say, what do I have. My word is worth everything, so I will do anything and everything to make sure my word is not tainted. Am I alone with this?

I think the Cardinals are finally back. The month of July will tell us for sure.

There are some days when you just make me smile and I don't know why. Who knew Sonic could be some intense?

Not much more to say. I will leave you with some stellar MWS.

It was a test we could all hope to pass
But none of us would want to take.
Faced with the choice to deny God to live,
For her, there was one choice to make.

This was her time. this was her dance.
She lived every moment; left nothing to chance.
She swam in the sea; drank of the deep;
Embraced the mystery of all she could be.

This was her time...

Though you are mourning and grieving with us,
Death died a long time ago;
Swallowed in life so that life carries on.
Still its so hard to let go.

This was her time. this was her dance.
She lived every moment; left nothing to chance.
She swam in the sea; drank of the deep;
Embraced the mystery of all she could be.

What if tomorrow, and what if today,
Faced with the question,
Oh what would you say?

This is your time. this is your dance.
Live every moment. leave nothing to chance.
Swim in the sea. drink of the deep.
Follow the mercy and hear yourself praying.

Wont you save me?
Wont you save me?

This is your time. this is your dance.
Live every moment. leave nothing to chance.
Swim in the sea. drink of the deep.
Embrace the mystery of all you can be.

This is your time. this is your dance.
Live every moment. leave nothing to chance.
Swim in the sea. drink of the deep.
Embrace the mystery of all you can be.

Missing Person on a Wednesday Afternoon

Wow, it really has been a long time since I last updated. Nope, I’m not dead, just have nothing to write about. I did update my sport’s blog though.

Not much news still though and not too much to talk about…

[sarcasm]

Is there much more romantic and mature than professing your love over AIM? I mean that is like the ultimate romantic forum. AIM is pretty damn romantic already. You are the love of my life, so I think I will put it in my away message.

Auto response from SomeUberRomantic (12:09:43 PM): Freshman year is gonna be hard, I’m not sure if I’m ready for high school yet. Or high school is ready for me. ;) lol! But at least I know you are here for me. I love you, Nicole!! You are the love of my life!!

[/sarcasm]

All-Star game was good, but sad. It was right there, and then gone. Well the Cardinals will be lucky to make the World Series anyway. They really need to step it up if they plan to make a splash in the playoffs, if they even make it.

Colin Cowherd is hilarious.

One thing I enjoyed last summer was the questions, so I am bringing it back. Leave a comment saying that you want to be interviewed and I will give you five deep, thought provoking questions. Respond to those questions in a comment or on your own blog, leaving a comment that you have answered my questions. Disclaimer: these will be tough thought provoking questions intended to give me a better taste of who you are. If you don’t want to think or want me to know more about you, don’t ask to be interviewed. Consider yourself warned.

Don’t have much more to say. Enjoy the summer. I will leave you with some good ole MWS. Peace.

Another question in me
One for the powers that be
Its got me thrown and so
I put on my poker face
And try to figure it out
This undeniable doubt
A common occurrence
Feeling so out of place

Guarded and cynical now
Cant help but wondering how
My heart evolved into a
Rock beating inside of me
So I reel, such a stoic ordeal
Wheres that feeling that I dont feel?

There was a boy who had the faith to move a mountain
And like a child he would believe without a reason
Without a trace he disappeared into the void and
Ive been searching for that missing person

Under a lavender moon
So many thoughts consume me
Who dimmed that glowing light
That once burned so bright in me
Is this a radical phase
A problematical age
That keeps me running
From all that I used to be

Is there a way to return
Is there a way to unlearn
That carnal knowledge
Thats chipping away at my soul
Ive been gone too long
Will I ever find my way home?

There was a boy who had the faith to move a mountain
And like a child he would believe without a reason
Without a trace he disappeared into the void and
Ive been searching for that missing person
He used to want to try to walk the straight and narrow
He had a fire and he could feel it in the marrow
Its been a long time and I havent seen him lately but
Ive been searching for that missing person

Demons on a Friday Afternoon

So I was watching the Family Stone the other night and a topic came up that I thought was interesting. See the movie is about this guy who brings his girlfriend home for Christmas to meet the family and he plans to propose to this girl. Throughout the movie, his girlfriend, played by Sarah Jessica Parker, desperately seeks the approval of his family, but they don't give her a chance through most of the movie. One night at the dinner table, while trying to strike up conversation, she asks his homosexual brother on his thoughts on the Nature vs. Nurture arguement about homosexuality. They joke that their mom had been hoping that they would all be gay and tried to raise them to be gay. SJP laughs at first, but then to make sure the mother was truly joking asks, "You wouldn't actually hope your son was gay, would you?" Now this very much offends the family, and she tries to clarify this statement that no mother would actually wish the child to be gay, as homosexuals tend to have a harder life than heterosexuals and no parent would want their child to go through a hard part in life if they didn't have to. But this comment was taken to be totally homophobic and left the gay brother in tears until his mother reconfirmed that she loved him. So here's my question: apart from the whole whether or not homosexuality is wrong and such because arguing that will just piss people off, would a mother, or even father for that matter, actually want their child to be gay? Please discuss in the comments section, but please keep it civil. You attack someone, I will delete the comment, no matter how good of an arguement you make. I am really curious as to what people think.

My words confuse you
My eyes don’t move a blink
Cause it’s easier sometimes
Not to be sincere
Somehow I make you believe
Believe
When I speak I cross my fingers
Will you know you’ve been deceived?
I find a need to be the demon
A demon cannot be hurt
Honest is easy
Fiction is where genius lies
Cause it’s easier sometimes
Not to be involved
Somehow I make you believe
Believe
